The specialized techniques used for permanent cosmetics are referred to as “micropigmentation”. Semi-permanent Brow Revival is one such application where colored pigment is implanted into the skin in the eyebrow region.
Is it really permanent?
It is considered semi-permanent because pigment is tattooed into the upper reticular part of the dermal layer of the skin over decades. However, as may gradually lighten, requiring periodic maintenance referred to as color re-enhancement or color refreshing.
Is it painful?
Most people experience some discomfort. This will vary according to each individual’s pain threshold. A topical anesthetic will be applied to ease the discomfort.
What is a touch-up? Do I need one?
Sometimes, the tattooed color is not perfect after the initial procedure heals. One follow-up to the initial procedure should be scheduled.
What are the side effects during and after the procedure?
There might be some mild swelling which will subside in few hours. Minor bleeding may occur in a few cases.
